Hon George Osborne MP.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a real honour to be joining the UKTI trade mission led by the Chancellor. I will be joining some of Britain\u2019s most innovative tech companies and I\u2019m delighted to represent the learning technologies industry. We\u2019ve found tremendous value from our partnership with the UKTI and this visit is an excellent opportunity for Epic to explore new opportunities in China,\u201d said Jonathan Satchell, CEO.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/epiclearninggroup.com\/uk\/files\/2013\/10\/JS_osborne2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright\" title=\"JS_osborne2\" alt=\"Epic's CEO Jonathan Satchell chats with Chancellor Osborne\" src=\"https:\/\/epiclearninggroup.com\/uk\/files\/2013\/10\/JS_osborne2-270x300.jpg\" width=\"216\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a>\n<p>The trade delegation is made up of some of Britain\u2019s most innovative technologies companies. The delegation will visit some of China\u2019s leading tech companies and platforms, including Baidu and Sina and will feature networking lunches, briefings and round table meetings.<\/p>\n<p>The Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Rt. Hon George Osborne MP, said: \u201cI want to use my visit to China this week to strengthen strategic ties between Britain and China in areas that will drive both our countries\u2019 growth. The Chinese economy is changing. Those who think it is just a low wage, low tech economy are making a mistake; it is becoming a cutting edge player in industries like tech. This is a huge opportunity for Britain \u2013 we have some of the most innovative tech companies in the world and China can be a huge market for their exports. That is why I am taking a tech delegation with me to China and will travel to Shenzhen to see some of China\u2019s leading tech firms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the past three years, Epic has successfully opened two international offices, including Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and New York in the United States.
